FUH I can’t stop Falling by Paul Byrne: Review
Everyone has a friend who, despite the fact that everyone else can see it, is infatuated with the wrong person—someone who is either mean to them or just plain doesn’t like them. They continue to put up with injustice in the sure belief that things will improve because of their obsession or lust. By repeatedly making the same error, my protagonist goes one step further. They might enjoy being treated unfairly. That’s what this song tells us.
A medium-length song written in a simple verse-chorus structure with repeated choruses and hooks, and tempos or rhythms that are easy to dance to.
The rhythmic interaction between the accompaniment’s frequently more simple rhythms and the vocal parts’ propensity for syncopation helps to connect so much more to the audience. This dynamic blend of music generates a very special place in the hearts of the audience.
Paul wrote his most recent single FUH (I Can’t Stop Falling) in his Howth, County Dublin, home studio, where he also recorded and produced it. Conor O’Farrell (Brady) of The Blades, a longtime musical partner of Paul’s, played the guitar solo. Despite being recorded in a home studio, the production quality of the track remains top-notch. It sounds pristine with that organic hint. Brady’s guitar solo transcends the song to new heights.
