Alex Gage B***h Slaps The Day by Alex Gage: Review
Alex Gage’s experimental funk sound is a breath of fresh air in the music biz. His single entitled “Alex Gage B***h Slaps The Day” has a bold melodic direction that will resonate with the artist in you. From tasty bass arrangements, solid beats, and a dynamic vocalist taking the helm, this 3-piece collection soars with authenticity.
Starting with the funk train that is Eh Di Haech Di!, this opening track has a playful array of galloping bass notes and an upbeat percussive flow. The mind of Alex Gage especially his multi-instrumental facets is evident with impressive transitions and some psychedelic undertones in this first piece. Coming back to the bass guitar’s arrangement and tone of this track, I pondered upon which rising band had a familiar take on this pattern. Just when I grasped that one of Alex’s influences was funk giant Vulfpeck, I was deeply thrilled. Joe Dart’s memorable bass triplets always fired me up, and I got a similar kick out of Alex’s musical talent.
“B***h Slap The Day” is Alex Gage’s apex moment without a doubt. He captures the track with elements of progressive rock, jazz, and a bit of avant-garde as well. A trippy guitar greets this song while a vibing singer offers a solid take. Altogether, it’s a lovely sound to hear and jam out to. Folks, if you ever feel tedious about the daily grind, how about sparking it up with the invigorating sounds of Alex Gage’s music?
