And Now It’s Time For a Breakdown by Ann Marie Nacchio: EP Review
Piano-driven melodies have always resonated with me. Hearing the instrument’s elegance and versatility represented in a variety of genres is pretty impressive, wouldn’t you say, folks? This brings us to the uber-talented Ann Marie Nacchio and her stellar EP, “And Now It’s Time For a Breakdown.” It’s full of sentiment, cadence, and Ann’s lovely voice keeping us company throughout. From soft piano verses to intriguing indie-rock passages, this record is jam-packed from start to finish.
The EP begins with “Mo(u)rning.” It’s an emotional journey through poetry and rhythm, and you can feel the weight in Ann’s voice as she moves through each section. It’s a fresh start, and audiences will gladly take it all in. The next piece is a tad more upbeat and goes by the title “Tell Me Something.” A jazzy percussion keeps the song at a soothing pace, and the allure of strings makes a greeting. Aside from that, a deep bassline maintains the soul of the track and sets the stage for a bluesy acoustic solo. We return to the roots of passionate rock with “Wrong,” and there’s plenty of flair from our artist in the spotlight. Ann’s voice is in full swing, and she truly showcases immense character in this song.
“How” is the last tune on the EP, and it sets itself apart from the rest. It’s a classic rock piece intertwined with satisfying solos and epic drum segments. Thus, the record comes to a close, and I leave you with this, folks: don’t miss out on Ann’s enchanting performance!
