Ajoshd, a Texas-born spitfire, leans into cinematic swagger with “Ballin’ Outta Control” from the album TEJAS. Self-directed and visually bold, the new video builds a whole faux-sports media universe around his THC brand, with neon title cards, post-game locker-room scrums, a mock TXAN broadcast and courtside interviews, and it’s as Texan as a Whataburger cup on the press table.
Sonically, “Ballin’ Outta Control” opens in a dreamy, reverb-drenched space where muffled, soulful singing floats like late-night fog. Gentle instrumentation creeps in, then the cool, low-end and locked beat slips under everything, and Ajoshd rides it with a chorus that soothes and seduces in equal measure. When he talks into the mic his voice thickens, with the vibes of slick raconteur and an unapologetic star at the same time. Then he snaps into a rap verse with smug cadence, each line clipped and confident, while the hook keeps melting back into those warm, swoony vocals. The production is cinematic but never frou-frou; it gives the bars room to breathe and the chorus room to glow.
The video sells the vibe in the best way possible with the faux sports anchors, split-screen studio banter and arena tunnels create a narrative of hustle-as-spectacle. Ajoshd walks through it like he owns the highlight reel, with a black duffle bag, Mexican blanket scarf, stadium fluorescence. It’s witty as hell but dead serious about brand-building. That tension is what makes the whole package land.
In short, “Ballin’ Outta Control” is mood, muscle and marketing in one neat package. It’s Southern hip-hop that keeps its head and raises its game. Throw it on when you need a soundtrack for winning, however you define it. TEJAS shows Ajoshd maturing into an auteur who makes music and visuals feel indispensable and timeless.
