Beware Wolves Volume 9 by Beware Wolves: Album Review
One of the best genres in the world which can help musicians tell stories, talk about emotions or give you a feel-good atmosphere over acoustic guitar, is probably the country or folk genre. Circling within the boundary of that genre, Beware Wolves releases Beware Wolves Vol. 9 which is his last and latest release from a nine-part series, summing up to 81 songs.
Beware Wolvesโ sound is a bit offbeat, recalling classic indie-folk acts from a variety of eras and genres. Featuring some timeless pieces, each of the 9 tracks on this volume just gives you a good time. โTrouble Me Moreโ has a lively distinctive tune while โU.S. Mailโ has an extremely rich sound. โUnforgiven Oneโ is old-school folk with an infectiously positive energy. โUnidentifiedโ is both dramatic and hypnotic, while โWant You Moreโ is an intricately romantic song. โWater & Stoneโ has got some rollicking tunes, transitioning to โWhiskey Dreamsโ and a groovy finale of โWicked Loveโ. A lot of these songs were whipped up last minute, literally even on the day of recording. Musicians are gifted in a lot of ways, but that is superhuman.
About his creations, Beware Wolves says, โI have to say the songs are fantastic with heaps of emotion, nice playing, and an interesting variety.โ With this astounding record, youโll feel like youโre watching a live performance and youโll know thereโs only uphill from the opening track!
