Birdman by SRVR: Review
Sidney Rivers and Vincent Rouge, both of South London’s music production and songwriting scenes, have recently begun working together under the moniker SRVR. Their first single, “Birdman,” was recorded and polished at 123 Studios in London with Rob Wilks, who is notable for producing songs for the Foals, Lianne La Havas, and Florence and the Machine. The track was composed as a reaction to current political events in the United States.
Fam, I have gotta tell you right off the bat, that SRVR is all the elements of a groovy extravaganza with their song “Birdman”. From the bluesy harmonies to the beautifully crafted striking piano rhythm, it’s a complete track. The guitar portions are an equal bit of “attitude” and an equal bit of “finesse”. There is just charm in the way the guitar solos are designed. The song itself feels like a mystical experience, where the singer will take a hold of you with a catchy flow, and sensational tone. Right, getting back to the guitar solos, takes a lot of the limelight. It follows the vocals a bit but has a space of its own. Instilled with blues licks, with what I believe is a slightly overdriven tone. It sounds crisp, moody, and absolutely remarkable!
There are male and female vocals intertwining at one point, and it is a soothing transition. Overall, the track makes you feel like the character is being explained in the track. The artists paint a picture portraying an icon, and you are taken to their world with enthralling vocal performances, incredible rhythm sections, and gripping melodies.
