GRAVA’s new EP, Bite the Hand that Bleeds, is a dark, gripping dive into apocalyptic horror. Recorded at Mama Jan Studios in Atlanta with producer Jesse Owen Astin, the EP brings to life GRAVA’s eerie, captivating style. The title track introduces GRAVA’s signature style: moody, theatrical vocals set against pulsating and almost cinematic instrumentals. The singer’s voice soars passionately in the chorus, then dips into a lower, almost sultry register in the verses. This vocal dynamism adds to the track’s suspense and intensity, drawing listeners into an almost cinematic soundscape where raw emotion and rich sonic layers collide.
“Something More” features vibrant synth waves and a captivating groove that complements the singer’s soulful, narrative vocal style. The vocals are transparent and laced with passion, exploring a longing for deeper connection and experience.
In “Magic Trick,” GRAVA explores jealousy and self-empowerment with a unique, macabre twist. The singer passionately delivers biting lyrics about envying someone who has it all and expresses a murderous intent and a desire to wear her assets for herself. The pumping rhythm and soulful harmonies intensify the track, and the catchy chorus is refreshingly bold.
