Brand Slogan released prominent new song ‘Lip Service’
‘Lip Service’, one of the four songs on Philadelphia-based Brand Slogan’s self-titled EP, is presented. Multi-instrumentalist and producer Damon Kardon came up with this EP as a solo project in the fall of 2022. Its sound is influenced by his earlier albums, ‘Creeping Death’ and ‘December’, both of which were released under the name ‘Warstead’. The lyrics in his solo album ‘Brand Slogan’ are more socially and politically charged and convey a message of hope mixed with desperation.
In 2018, Damon began writing and recording for Brand Slogan (previously known as ‘Warstead’), and he is still doing so from his studio. In preparation for Brand Slogan’s full LP ‘Silence’, which is anticipated to be released in the spring or summer of 2023, he recently finished re-mixing and mastering tracks from his 4-song EP for the band (which includes a cover of ‘Eye in the Sky’ by The Alan Parsons Project). On February 14th (Valentine’s Day), a Brand Slogan version of Depeche Mode’s classic song ‘Never Let Me Down Again’ was made available on all streaming and download services.
