Break The Matrix (Episode Three) by Moon and Aries: EP Review
Electro-pop and Trance make a solid entrance in Moon and Aries’ “Break The Matrix (Episode Three)” Consisting of three uplifting songs, this duo will make an audience move to the rhythm, and be filled with euphoria. Elements of trip-hop and house also collide in their music, ultimately forming a melodic bond that leaves a strong impression.
Mystery and rhythm take shape in the opening number “Illumination Society.” Epic song title by the way, and poetic too. There’s more to it. The first track is a thorough mix of trance music, while gripping beats and a soothing singer take the mic. Jordana Moon’s vocal chops are simply hypnotic, especially when Tom Aries’ digital soundscapes tag along. Their chemistry is vivid, and it elates me to hear each melody from start to finish. Up next is the funky “Never For Me”, a lovely trip-hop tune that can set the perfect scene for island hopping in the midst of Summer. Seriously though, put this magic number on, and witness an entire cruise ship from the passengers to the crew start grooving before they even reach their destination.
The ending track “From Another Dimension” has a powerful cadence. Pertaining to EDM, and house, this passionate melody shall amplify anyone’s spirit. Pulsating beats enter the track’s core while celestial-style synths cover the atmosphere. Finally, in unity with the singer’s allure, this exit track is indeed Moon and Aries’ melodic ascent.
