Breathe by THE Astrolabe: Review

Electro-pop act THE Astrolabe creates melodies full of intimacy. His passionate track “Breathe” oozes themes of love and desire, and it’s packed with a gripping rhythm that captures that sentiment perfectly. A sultry singer grabs the mic, and a resonating bass tags along, altogether it creates a solid chemistry worth hearing on repeat.

THE Astrolable’s presence in the Greek music scene has certainly made an impact. His success on YouTube with over 1.1M views is quite impressive, and Breathe’s melodic appeal is a true testament to that. The song initiates with a touching vocal piece, and the artist slowly guides us into the heart of the tune. Ambient verses are exchanged with ground-shaking basslines, and the singer lets out a roar of emotions. Altogether it’s a delightful melody that keeps you hooked with each passing second! Speaking of hook, electro-pop is one such genre that doesn’t disappoint with its infectious rhythms. Thus far, any artist pertaining to that genre exhibited an aura that inspires you to come back, hear their song repeatedly, and hum the tune in its absence. THE Astrolable’s “Breathe” adds to that familiar pattern, and it’s a stellar trait to have I must say.

Nearing Breathe’s exit, a funky electronica piece greets us. It’s a bit more mellow than the electro-bass sound and adds a bit of finesse to the main rhythm section. THE Astrolabe did a fantastic job in his dance-worthy track, and I strongly recommend it!
