Charity Macklin released entrancing new song ‘You Are My God’
With the piano ballad ‘You Are My God’, experienced choir director, piano teacher, and singer Charity Macklin is making her debut in contemporary/independent Christian music. With a worship song about the contradictory nature of beliefs, Macklin showcases all of her piano and vocal abilities on this track.
Charity, an Adele-like singer who enjoys all genres of music, added an Eastern music scale to the line, “If every good gift you gave, you stripped away.” The vocal phrase closely resembles Job 1:21 in the Bible, providing a perfect illustration of how Charity incorporates various themes into her music.
Charity’s debut single is “You Are My God,” but she is debating the idea of putting out more music. She doesn’t want to rush the process because she might later find a collaborator.
