Chris Brown is disappointed with the lack of interest in his new album
Chris Brown is frustrated by the lack of response his just released album Breezy has received.
On Sunday, July 3, Chris Brown shared a few Instagram Stories posts that have since vanished in which he lashed out at the lack of support for his new endeavor. The R&B artist appears to be annoyed that his detractors are getting more attention in the media and among his followers than his brand-new music.
He stated in one post, “July 8th [Breezy] deluxe album, not that [it] matters… “I THINK YOU ONLY FOCUS ON THE BAD STORIES ABOUT ME. CHRIS GETS IN DIFFICULTY (THE WHOLE WORLD IS ON it). Chris releases album — [cricket emoji]
Brown added in another post, “I’m back on my gangsta shit…
It’s BRACKIN at all Times.”
Before Breezy came out, Chris Brown put in a lot of work in the promotion department. But this week, the album’s performance fell short of expectations.
As anticipated, Brown’s most recent album made its debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart. With 72,000 equivalent album units sold, the collection peaked at No. 4 on Billboard. SEA units make up 66,000 of that total, pure album sales make up 5,000, and TEA units make up 1,000. The 24 tracks on Breezy’s album had 87.36 million official on-demand streams.
Brown might be referring to the rape accusations made against him, which he has firmly denied, when he talks about the negative stories.
In the meanwhile, Chris Brown and Lil Baby will co-headline a tour later this month.
