Cinematic Laboratory brings a fresh twist to H.G. Wells’ classic tale with his futuristic album “War of the Worlds 2023 AI.”
This album promises an unconventional auditory experience and basement music that seamlessly blends trip-hop, techno, trance, classical music, modular ambient, and lounge. With manual production and analog voltage combined with digital soundscapes and 3D field recordings, the album promises a similarly engaging storyline. And we get to enjoy the humor, apocalyptic horror, and dystopian anticipation.
The album opens with “Transmission” and instantly grabs attention with chaotic alien and techno sounds. They swiftly transition into an AI voice actor’s narration. The combination of techno, trance, and ambient music intriguingly represents a dystopian world teetering on the brink of an alien invasion.
The next track, “Worldwide Invasion,” propels the story with a pulsating techno backdrop. The album proceeds to the standout track, “Dream Machine.” It commences with an immersive laboratory ambiance. Then, it transitions into a machine-like symphony beating with realistic background sound effects. It finally culminates to an elevated experience. After much of the album’s exploration into the alien field, “Disclaimer” ties the story together with an ambient soundscape and the AI voice actors introducing themselves.
Despite being denied as being original music, “War of the Worlds 2023 AI” is now available as a Spotify podcast, complete with episodes and other parts with AI actors.
Listen to Cinematic Laboratory’s reimagined album “War of the Worlds 2023 AI” to get a touch of innovative, avant-garde storytelling and a fusion of the future and the now.
