Colour Running Away by Simesky+Fritch: Review
Simesky+Fritch are a musical act bringing a nostalgic 80’s synth sound to the mix. Their vibrant sound is executed with the catchy piece “Colour Running Away,” and what follows is an exciting adventure of timbres. It’s a track beautifully capturing the essence of the 1980s through poetic lyricism and synth-drenched cadence. All together, add in passionate vocals and you’ve got yourselves an absolute banger ready to excite audiences on a worldwide scale.
“Colour Running Away” enters with a gripping synth segment and a bassline that doesn’t halt. The non-stop melody is taken to an even further level when the singer enters with their ode, and from then a retro cadence is born. In addition to that, the track reminds you of neon nights out in the city while heavy rain soaks the streets, and all you wanna do is activate your hovercar and cruise the city skyline in classic cyberpunk fashion. Man, why don’t we have hovercars yet? Anyway, aside from the vibe, the track’s instrumentals are pretty lively. A thumping beat keeps the tempo strong, and thrilling synth segments highlight the core of the melody. In effect, it turns into this invigorating retro number to keep you company for days to come.
Simesky+Fritch sure know how to start a party. And once they got going, there’s no telling when they’d stop. They have taken the rave from the 1980s to the present day, and that my friends is how you host a sound that’ll stand the test of time.
