Comett releases groovy new song ‘The Stranger’
Alexandre Canola, aka Comett, renews himself with ‘Rêverie’, a musical reflection written during confinement.
Alexandre draws inspiration from ’90s and ’00s Anglo-Saxon music (Radiohead/The Notwist/The divine comedy) and music from other cultures, including South America (Rodrigo Amarante, Chico Buarque, Cartola), Italy (Andrea Laszlo de Simone), and France (’60s/’70s film music).
‘Peace Of Mind’ is a hybrid song that combines Radiohead-style rock guitar, Moog synthesizer, and South American rhythm. The album has a lot of orchestration, as in ‘Opéra 2080’, ‘Une vie normale’, and ‘The Stranger’. Comett loves film music or The Divine Comedy’s polished pop.
All his songs have confinement inspired reflective lyrics. First, consider ‘Une vie normale’, ‘Peace of Mind’, and ‘The Stranger’.
