Guardrail’s new album “Content” is a rollercoaster of emotions wrapped up in catchy tunes and soul-searching lyrics. They dropped this gem on July 7th through Open Your Ears Records, and it’s a real testament to how much the band has grown, not just in their sound but in the depth of their songwriting.

“Different Universe,” featuring Alex Crook, takes a more mellow turn. The lyrics dive into a world that seems to be losing its heart, and the collaboration with Crook adds an emotional layer that hits deep, especially in the current disconnected world.

“Joke’s On Me” takes a more personal route, diving into thoughts about time passing and opportunities missed. The lyrics hit you in the feels, as they explore that universal feeling of looking back on your journey while the music hits you with a solid emotional punch.

One of the album’s highlights is “Game Over, Man!” featuring Vince Gannon. This collab is a breath of fresh air, blending Gannon’s energy with Guardrail’s signature style. The song’s ups and downs mirror the emotional ride described in the lyrics.
