The Alternative Rock trio, THE HYBRIS, hailing from Nice, LA, and Cologne, presents their second full-length album, Cozy Resistance. This vibrant 11-track collection merges the influence of 80s music with a punk edge. Comprising Ringo Rabbit, Beanie Bison, and Malcolm Mandrill, THE HYBRIS brings conscientious lyrics to the forefront of their sonic exploration.
The album kicks off with โCelebrate The Good Times,โ a full-throttle anthem featuring deep and resonant vocals, thumping drums, and riffing heavy guitars. The lyrics encapsulate a resilient spirit, urging listeners to embrace the positive moments amidst a world in turmoil. The energy is infectious, with a call to revel in the face of adversity.
The sixth track, โHeads Off,โ maintains the albumโs high-octane momentum. The song blazes with rhythmic guitar layered beneath gritty guitars and dynamic drums. The vocals resonate with catchiness and infectious energy, delivering a compelling narrative with resilience.
Closing the album, โYour Abyssโ takes a contemplative turn with melodic guitar melodies and reverent vocals. The singerโs voice, husky and emotional, delivers a nuanced performance, building steadily with the drums and guitars riffing to a soaring crescendo. The track reaches its peak level of frustration, with vocals screaming with screeching metallic energy, providing a powerful conclusion to the album.
Through Cozy Resistance, the trio grinds in their holistic sonic realm with high-energy politically charged anthems and contemplative and emotive pieces. A third album is already in progress. So stay tuned with the three superheroes and find the rest of their discography ASAP, before the next drop.
