Crown by Kevin Whitaker: Review
The song “Crown” was released on December 9, 2022 by rock singer and producer Kevin Whitaker who started his musical journey two years ago. The song was produced in his home studio in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, by Bradley Denniston. Fighting is what it’s all about for the “Crown”- fighting to keep going despite the fact that, let’s face it, all of us are worn out and fed up with the world in which we are currently living. Being stuck in this depressive situation is a real pain in the neck. It is time for us to put our armor back on, engage in combat, and reclaim our lives so that we can experience them to the fullest extent possible.
The song starts with a fuzzy synth sounds that feel a lot like the beginning of Imagine Dragon’s “Believer” and also the theme from the movie Terminator, which is pretty intense. Then he continues into the gritty, powerful vocals that sounds like growling yet soft and energetic at the same time– an impressive combination of vocal technique. The changes in the track are very interesting too keeping listeners hooked till the end of the song.
It is an impressively composed track that will have the audience inspired to fight for the right reasons– dare I say, rage in a positive way.
