Decode by Shaun Mason ft. Anji Kaizen: Review

Shaun Mason and Anji Kaizen have joined forces to cook up something magical- an epic rendition of one of Paramore’s most iconic songs ‘Decode’. Apparently, they met online through Tiktok and Instagram and made this wonderful collaboration possible.

This rendition of ‘Decode’ was recorded in their home studio, mixed and produced by Shaun Mason himself. Although the original is a fast paced rage fueled ballad, Shaun and Anji’s version is slower, tastier and in all honesty more meaningful in its righteous ways. Paramore fans have long waited for a soulful version of this song and they finally get what they deserved; a heart-touching soul-crushing masterpiece all thanks to Shaun Mason and Anji Kaizen.

The song starts with tasty piano notes backed by ethereal synth that gets accompanied by muffed electric beats and the arrival of Shaun Mason’s voice commences the magical journey. Anji Kaizen then comes with her classic enticing voice but it is the harmonized duet singing that takes the song to the next level. Heavy guitar riffs, melodic solos, grinding beats, ethereal synths- this song has everything you want. Must warn you though, once you start listening, this song will be on repeat.
