Gary Dranow’s latest single, “Digitize,” is what you need to feel what hard rock sounds like. “Digitize” is such a piece that will fill up all the crevices of your auditory system with its rich tapestry of sounds.
With electric and acoustic guitars, bass, synthesizers, and drums, Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions create a dynamic and immersive rock experience. Released on December 9, this track hits you with a strong zest of their upcoming album, Asterion slated for launch in June 2024.
The song unfolds with intriguing and glimmering synth lines, setting a contemplative tone before escalating into a crescendo of driving jams of gritty guitars. Gary Dranow’s vocals add an energetic and impassioned layer, soaring over the immersive rock space. The composition is marked by its dynamism, seamlessly transitioning between subdued moments and explosive choruses.
What I truly loved about “Digitize” was the bridge. It captivates with hypnotic chanting set against a backdrop of consistent drumming. This segment adds a unique and entrancing dimension to the track. The band really shows us how magnifying and diverse their aural field is.
Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions have a sound so good that we find similarities with Metallica, Audioslave, Oasis, and Train. Nonetheless, the band is one of its own.
Keep an ear out for the full album release in June 2024, as it undoubtedly holds more sonic adventures in store.
