Released July 11, 2025, “Droplets of God” feels less like a song and more like a spiritual transmission floating through layers of mist and memory. With every note shaped and sculpted by Jamie Shavdia—better known as Truth Lamp—this track gives us a taste of his upcoming follow-up to Electronic Spirit.
Right off the bat, “Droplets of God” places you somewhere between heaven and the floor of an arthouse cinema. Echoing choir-like harmonies hover like fog, while deep, earthy beats pulse beneath, grounding the ether. Then out of nowhere, this bright synth melody starts glimmering across the surface. It soon becomes sharp, pulsating, and fast. Soon after, amidst the mix, the electric guitar makes its entrance. Winding, slithering, slightly snarling, it snakes in amid the chilling synths.
Meanwhile, what makes this track even more compelling is the story behind it. Jamie, a meditation teacher based in Colchester, has let his spiritual journey soak into the bones of this piece. For him, this is music by instinct, by feeling. “Forget what everyone else is doing and focus on what the unconscious produces,” he says. “Droplets of God” draws you in with atmosphere and releases you with a quiet kind of awe.
On top of all that, this is a track that’s been in the works since Truth Lamp first started creating. It’s evolved, matured, and taken its time, just like any good meditation. Start zooming into the heavenly feelings of “Droplets of God” on Spotify.
