Norwegian artist Nikiré returns with her second release, “ETERNITY beneath the stars of God,” that comes like a healing meditation made to bring humanity closer to each other. Created and authored by Tom Arild Junge, Nikiré is a practice of lyrical philosophy, a space where sound becomes a vessel for reflection. Following the first release, “VALUES within your soul,” which explored the inner architecture of personal truth, this new piece reaches outward, contemplating the infinite expanse of the cosmos and the divinity within. Released as part of an ongoing series, “ETERNITY beneath the stars of God” merges poetry, presence, and stillness into something deeply moving.
The track opens on a cushion of soft, soothing piano tones, each note deliberate, lingering like breath. Then comes the sonorous, enveloping, and almost celestial voice. It doesn’t so much sing as it glows. The melody unfolds slowly, as if afraid to disturb the still air around it. When she sings, “Believe there is no heaven, believe there’s no hell / Imagine one eternal universe where souls walk free through fields of light and peace, love, and understanding,” it’s as if she’s invoking you to step outside the noise, the clutter, the hate and bitterness into an all-loving land where souls are truly free and full of love.
The arrangement is minimal but powerful, with each swell of sound serving the emotion. Layered vocals rise and fall like tides, embodying that delicate balance between fragility and strength. AI plays a subtle role here, used not to replace humanity but to refine it, helping shape phrasing and breath into pure resonance.
“ETERNITY beneath the stars of God” is less about religion and more about reverence. It’s a gentle, luminous hymn to being, made with discipline and grace.
