Chinese producer, DJ and artist STRlighT turns two years of memories, regrets and renewed hopes into Ever Lasting (永·恒), a 13-track album that looks backward. Released in September 2026, the record blends electronic music with pop songwriting, using piano, strings, guitars, organs, atmospheric textures and melodic arrangements to give its digital foundations a distinctly human warmth.
“The Rain That Had Been Falling Relentlessly” immediately sets an appropriately reflective tone. Gentle rain-like textures and soft, dreamy music create the feeling of watching the world through a window while old memories slowly surface. As the arrangement develops, the warmth gives the track an emotional glow that feels almost like finding comfort inside something once painful.
“Fate,” featuring DreamRecD, brings considerably more light into the album. Livelier guitar strumming gives the track a sense of movement and hope, while a delicate female vocal rises gracefully above the arrangement. Her lyrics about continually waiting for someone to arrive carry an immediately relatable longing, but there is an exhilarating sense that something beautiful might still be around the corner.
“Fairytale,” featuring Lightfighter and Mitsucaster, takes the album into a more expansive electronic territory. Flourishing piano introduces the track before additional instruments gradually fill out the arrangement, creating a flowing backdrop for the singer’s soaring, mesmerizing performance. When the EDM elements arrive, the song opens up dramatically, turning its earlier delicacy into something bigger and more immersive.
Across Ever Lasting, STRlighT works with the emotional residue of experience, the things that hurt, the things that inspire and the things we carry forward without realizing it.
