Feedback by The Margaret Hooligans: Review
The Margaret Hooligans are a rock band with an energetic edge for rebellious music. Their track โFeedbackโ is filled with a fuzzed-out tone from the ukulele, incredible drum work, and a powerful angelic voice from the bandโs singer Meg. The track is a great mixture of punk rock, and grunge rock as well. Upon hearing it, youโll feel the urge to kick off your shoes and jump to the rhythm in excitement.
From the very first riff, I was sure that this track was gonna be a sure hit. As the ukulele chords grace the atmosphere, the singerโs clean tone compliments the tone of the instrumentation beautifully. The drum work is on point and has this stomping style that can be heard when the snare and the bass drum are played in an aggressive synchronization. There are some brutal guitar solos in various parts of the song, and its minimal structure is impressive. The song is very energetic already, but with the guitar fillers, it adds a whole slew of excitement. At first, I truly thought the lead frontwoman was playing the guitar! To my surprise, it is a distorted ukulele and brings a unique take on rock music to the table.
This song, โFeedback,โ explores the phenomenon of having too many opinions, and it examines the aim of oversharing. Itโs an upbeat mantra for shy individuals whoโs realized that interacting with people online can be just as unpleasant as face-to-face conversations.
