Flight 608 by Overlap: Review
“Overlap” is an amazing band creating melodies full of alternative and grunge rock. Their track “Flight 608” encompasses intricate guitar rhythms that pertain to a dark and somber atmosphere, but it sounds quite enchanting. Aside from that some light piano keys also enter the premise to uplift the song a bit.
Do you have a final destination in this lifetime, dear reader? A larger-than-life goal perhaps? Well, wherever we’re going, a gentle melody to help guide the way can make that journey a little less troublesome. In the track “Flight 608”, Overlap’s musical coexistence through gritty guitar bits comes into the limelight after an intriguing segment initiates in the beginning. We can hear an airport announcement commencing, and then leading us to a beautiful clean guitar intro. This sent shivers down my spine, it was such a legendary way to greet listeners with the creativity of the band’s efforts.
There are some guitar solos here and there which add a spell of blues and hard rock. Also, the track’s ending has such a nice polish. Mixing the gravity of screaming with fuzzy guitar solos to exit is a gripping method to influence the replay button. Overall, the track has this 1990s to late 1980s feeling of hard rock and grunge. Since the grunge wave took over in the 90s, “Flight 608” feels like a fitting tribute through aggressive singing and emotional guitar sequences. It’s a sensational track to jam out to, and a thoughtful one too.
