Foundry Town Survivors release inspiring rock song “American Dream”
On Black Friday, November 25, 2022, veteran rockers Foundry Town Survivors continued their run of emotionally gripping tales with an investigation of the “American Dream.” Infused with their own unique combination of Motor City charm, they offer a triumphant hymn with a chorus that pushes the audience to recognize that not everyone around them is as fortunate as they are.
This is the ninth song the duo has released since the beginning of 2021. These men are seasoned musicians who have collaborated intermittently since their high school years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A reunion with former bandmates in November 2018 prompted them to consider “unfinished business,” which led to the formation of Foundry Town Survivors. Individually and collectively, the band has logged thousands of hours playing, touring, composing, and recording throughout the years. They’ve earned their reputation by performing Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, and Americana, fusing these influences into a style that is entirely theirs. Using the vocabulary of Rock guitars, bass, drums, and sincere vocals, the band explores the contrasts that exist in our world: the evil and the good, the excessive spending and the crushing poverty.
With a captivating songwriting presence, and gripping rock instrumentation the track upholds its charm. What keeps the rhythm intact is a solid bass section with a deep tone. As for the singing, it’s as powerful as the theme of the song! The band’s goal is not to criticize, but to remind us of individuals who have not yet realized their dreams. The new song is accessible on the majority of global streaming and download services. The video, produced and directed by Flying Wedge Media, debuted on November 25, 2022, on the band’s YouTube channel and Music Video Hype.
