Foundry Town Survivors released melodic new song ‘I Want To Be Loved’
On February 17, 2023, Foundry Town Survivors released their pulsing new rock/pop single ‘I Want To Be Loved’, which channels the sounds of Motown soul and Detroit rock. The song features the group and their Big Fat Rhythm Section, which is led by bassist Tommy Johnsmiller. Marlena Jeter and Mark Tomorsky also contribute dreamy call-and-response vocals to the song. The long-term relationship-related desires and pleasures are expressed in the lyrics.
Tomorsky claimed that the song was an unanticipated gift that came in the form of a dream. He worked closely for a very long time with the talented songwriter Allee Willis. Allee was not only a Grammy-winning songwriter but also a skilled artist, performer, and event organizer. Mark has worked with Allee on artwork, performance art, live performances, and parties for more than 20 years as both her producer and occasional mad scientist. They had discussed working together on music in the past, but time would soon pass. Mark had a lot to think about in 2020 as the pandemic was just getting started, Allee had just passed away, and the future of the music business looked bleak.
