Funny Way of Dying Kid by Dan Pye: Review
Paradise isn’t just the visual embodiment of smooth sandy beaches and cocktails in your hand. It’s also the audio sensations that greet your ear softly and uplift you to the heavens. That’s exactly the feeling “Funny Way of Dying Kid” by Dan Pye portrays. It has all the blueprints of dreamy guitars, magical voices, and a vibing beat track, ultimately it’s an Indie hit.
The singer’s tone is divine, and he’ll cast a subtle spell on listeners. “Funny Way of Dying Kid” makes you feel nostalgic, and makes you wander off into a memory you forgot at the crossroads of life. The musical charm and aura of the song will transport you into a universe where all the seven colors of the rainbow scatter throughout the atmosphere. You might be thinking ”Damien! Bruh, chill out. Is the song that good?” I’d reply with, “think about the comfort you feel right before falling asleep and slip into a dream where happy memories play on repeat”, yup it’s that good.
The sliding guitar notes played are so darn smooth, it blends perfectly with the chorus transitions. As for the electronica elements present in the song, it’s filled with plenty of reverb and atmospheric tone, perfect for a song as such. According to Dan Pye, the lyrics on “Funny Way of Dying Kid” reflect the many deaths we encounter daily. It also signifies how we lose ourselves as we grow and develop into new people, but simultaneously accept the discomfort that comes with that change. It’s a universal truth, manifested in a celestial soundtrack.
