GaKnew Roxwel dropped sensational new track ‘The Return’
GaKnew Roxwel, an emcee based in Los Angeles, presents his most recent EP, ‘The Return’. GaKnew’s return to music with the EP follows careers in social work and education. Hiphop’s golden era is brought back to life in The Return with modern flair. Hustle Up and Zazie Beetz are among the hip-hop songs that currently dominate the airwaves, while Entrapment quenches the thirst of fans who are missing the earlier Kanye.
The idea for ‘The Return’ first came to him while he was instructing high school students in art and animation. He used to compose music, and some of my students discovered one of his videos on YouTube. GaKnew had assumed that the younger generation wouldn’t connect with his music, but the opposite was actually true. For the remainder of the semester, students kept asking him why he wasn’t rapping instead of teaching, and he eventually realized that while he had been encouraging them to follow their passions, he had never fully done so himself.
