Michellarโs newest single, โGame of Love,โ featuring Rad Datsun and releasing November 21, 2025, captures the spark, tension, and playful uncertainty that define the early stages of attraction. Born out of a chance meeting between Michelle Bond and Brad Johnson at a Southern California songwriting retreat, the track carries the warm spontaneity of a collaboration that just clicked.
Written by the pair and shaped by producer Marius Alexandru from Romania, after demo sessions split between San Francisco and Minneapolis, โGame of Loveโ brings Michellarโs folk-tinged nostalgia with a modern pop-rock sheen. Fleetwood Mac hovered in the background as an influence, and you can definitely hear that mix of breeziness and emotional undercurrent woven through the songโs structure.
Anyway, from the moment โGame of Loveโ starts, youโre pulled into its deep bass pulse and catchy, head-bobbing groove. The beat lands with that instantly addictive sway. Itโs smooth, steady, with just the right amount of swagger. Then the vocals come in, and the duet dynamic takes center stage. The female singer enters first, with her soft, delicate high notes floating sweetly over the groove. With a dreamy exhilaration, he perfectly captures the thrill of possibility and the slightly dizzying excitement of the โgameโ sheโs caught in.
Not long after, the male vocalist steps in with a husky, grounded warmth that balances her airiness. Together, they create a push-and-pull energy that brings the love story to life. We have two strangers meeting on a plane, wondering whether fate is nudging them in the same direction, and nervously hoping not to blow their chance. Their voices weave around each other in a way that feels natural, conversational, almost like theyโre acting out the moment in real time.
As the groove keeps rolling, the track becomes a charming dance between fantasy and fear, sweetness and tensionโa musical reminder that love really is a game, and half the thrill is not knowing how the next move will play out.
