Get Down by band w/o band: Review
Hamburg, Germany plays homage to Marc, the metal maestro behind band w/o band. The track “Get Down” is full of aggressive riffs and a hardcore appeal that true metal enthusiasts will absolutely cherish. The crunch and grit of the track visualized a thoughtful image where I fill my cheeks with warpaint and charge forth with a battalion to the thunderous vibe of “Get Down.”
The drive of the track is powerful and in your face. Particularly because of the chugging technique of the guitar riffs. It all sort of pertains to Djent, a subgenre of progressive metal. With such a lionhearted guitar arrangement the vocal aspects don’t shy away from the same angle. Mixed with a metal-stylized singing approach as well as a hard rock one, the singer truly connects with each aspect of the instrumentation. The music of band w/o band has a dark and evil aesthetic surrounding it, and this atmosphere would bond so well with the videogame franchise of Doom or Devil May Cry. Don’t mind me, just the gamer in me is bursting with excitement to hear the kinda music that enriches my musical vocabulary as well as my gaming intensity.
Get Down is an explosive track that manages to keep the momentum up excellently. The overall sequence of the song just clicked with me, and it was particularly because of the deep tone of the guitar. As soon as I heard it, it felt like my warrior pulse had activated and I was ready to march into the fray.
