Girl In The Sky by SCREENTALK: Review
SCREENTALK is a four-piece British band that is building a name for themselves among fans of alternative rock music. Theyโve established themselves as an impressive act worthy of a spot on your playlist with the release of โGirl In The Sky.โ
Along with Gianpaolo on bass and percussion, Sam Varney on guitar and supporting vocals, Sean Currie on lead vocals and synth, and Dan Moore on drums and backing vocals, are the men behind the song. The soaring guitars, upbeat drum kick, and funky bass create a wide-open atmosphere for the listeners. Before the tempo picks up and reaches its peak, Currie gets to shine with a passionate and sincere vocal performance. One of the songโs best parts is the way the synths take it from a hazy, euphoric chorus to an electrified, futuristic coda. The songโs original version is six minutes long, and the band worked with producer Kurran Karbal to shorten it for the radio playlist.
The track is personal and sensitive to the core of the lyrics, touching on the all-too-relatable subject of having a loved one battling with mental health issues. Most of the time, your presence is the most valuable gift you can provide. Just being there for someone and letting them know you care can be a powerful source of healing and strength in the face of adversity. A text, a phone call, a visit, a warm hug, or maybe just sending them this song will make them feel seen and cherished. You can find it on all the streaming services!
