“Girlfriend” is a new song by Kaash Paige. Her first solo release in over a year is “Girlfriend.”
Kaash Paige’s tracks sound like late-night text conversations come to life. Her gentle singing voice has echoes of DeJ Loaf, as do many of today’s lovesick balladeers. Her hazy, flirty lyrics take a warm, lived-in approach to love and sensuality. Kaash Paige has released her first solo single in over a year today. It’s called “Girlfriend,” and Roy Lenzo, Ariana Wong, and 254 Bodi produced it. A video is also included with the new tune. Look it up below.
Kaash Paige collaborated on a few songs last year, including “MIA” with British-Nigerian vocalist Ray BLK and “Bad Girl” with YSL associate Strick. Her most recent project, Teenage Fever, was released in August 2020.
If you want to see Kaash Paige perform live, she’ll be at the Rolling Loud festival in Toronto in September. Kaash Paige completed her track-by-track video series for the aforementioned Teenage Fever in 2020, in which she released a small visual for each song on the album, including ones for “London,” “Grammy Week,” which included fellow Texas native Don Toliver, and “Lost Ones.” Isaiah Rashad, Don Toliver, ssgkobe, 42 Dugg, and K CAMP all contributed to the 13-track project, which was released in August of that year. Prior to it, she released the Parked Car Convos EP in 2019, which was well-received because to her song “Love Songs.”
