Sonny Siminskiโs Giveth brings a breeze of bedroom folk with the intimacy from music made alone with time, memory, and a stubborn, searching heart. Written and recorded at home on a basic multitrack setup, the EP proudly carries that DIY pulse. The songs feel handcrafted, stitched from noodling sessions, half-formed thoughts, and realizations that only arrive in the middle of ordinary days.
Siminski has spent years writing, performing, and refining in shadows and rehearsal rooms, but Giveth is the moment where the curtain is pulled back. The EP plays like a sketchbook left open on the kitchen table.
The opener โWeaveโ sets the tone with soft guitar strums and organic percussion raps, shakes, and subtle jangles.. His voice comes in thick and slightly worn, singing with a longing that doesnโt ask for pity, just understanding. Itโs loneliness spoken gently, not dramatically.
By โWishful Thinking,โ the vulnerability stretches a little wider. The guitar glints patiently while he sings hopefully. Itโs the sound of talking to yourself while pacing the hallway at night. Meanwhile, The title track โGivethโ carries the EPโs heart as it closes the chapter. With playful, lightly plucked chords, Siminski sings assuredly and firmly, while being tender and gentle. He sings, โI am not running away, I am making a change for the better.โ Itโs a goodbye that has resulted from growth spoken softly.
Giveth is small in scale, huge in humanity. Check it out on Spotify.
