The song is catchy and engaging with a light, fun rhythm. The singer sings soulfully and anguishedly. He sings painfully in his husky high voice. He goes from line to line smoothly. The electric guitar licks bring a sweetness to the music. Underneath, the guitars shimmer with reverb and delay, giving the whole track a dreamy, weightlessness, like memories replaying in slow motion. When the bridge hits, Eddie leans into a blend of wah wah and distortion that makes the guitar sound like itโs crying right along with him, turning the emotional dial up without ever losing the groove.
