Georgia-based indie bluesy rock band Eddie King & ReBoot seeks love to ease their “Haunted” soul in their latest release. Released on February 29, “Haunted” gets dark and atmospheric with sexy vocals and gritty guitar riffs.
With Brian Wilson on rhythm guitar, and Nick McQuillan on bass, the song opens with moody guitars riffing and bending in one ear, creating an ominous atmosphere before it layers on both ears, with the other playing a moody groove. As the drums by Kevin Blocksom enter with sparkly smacks, the intensity builds steadily after perfectly curating the bluesy mood with the cinematic music. The guitar solo in the bridge adds a visceral energy to the song, with its grinding and prolonged intensity amplifying the emotional weight of the track.
Eddie King’s soft and thick vocals take center stage, delivering lyrics that explore themes of inner turmoil and redemption. He sings sexily and delicately in a low range with a vibrato that trembles with his anguished emotional landscape, drawing us into the depths of his soul. With lines like “Maybe I appear a little bit haunted” and “There’s a hurt that’s deep inside my soul,” King lays bare his innermost thoughts and struggles. His voice only gets gnarlier and thicker with vehemence and intensity since the second chorus arrives with the line, “I can’t walk this wire any longer my lord.”
Eddie King and his band have big plans for 2024. Expect new tracks, videos, live performances, and even vinyls. Till then, stay “Haunted” with Eddie King’s fervor.
