Heartbeat by J-Desir: Review

Soul music with the spirit of funk merges in J-Desir’s tune “Heartbeat.” The artist’s flair and vocal supremacy are present in this delightful number. Even more so as brilliant bass lines and synthesizers enter the mix. J-Desir is a rising artist with a danceable melody in “Heartbeat”, so if you’re seeking something to get your groove on, this is it!

The singer’s voice is a classic representation of vintage funk. Even if the sound has a particular resonance tied with yesteryear, J-Desir’s modern take on the genre contributes to its strength. Speaking of strength, I got plenty of good vibrations from the synergy of the instrumental bits tied to the track. When the bass lines initiated and the beats dropped, my mood was elated and all I wanted to do was move to the rhythm. Music as such is quite sensational in its element, particularly when the right notes are aligned and a touching cadence takes form. Funk was my learning curve in the days leading up to the precision of guitar 101. Something about the strumming pattern always seemed fascinating to me, also my tutor at the time had an immense appreciation for the genre’s history and figures. So, hearing “Heartbeat” by J-Desir takes me back to those influential events in my own upbringing!

Aside from funky rhythm sections, the singer imbues a rigorous sense of soul. With plenty of clarity, it connects with the pulsating beats. J-Desir commands attention and the overall aspect of “Heartbeat” stays true to that sentiment.
