Released on December 5, 2025, Heavenline is pivotal to Philadelphia-based solo artist Jeremy Link, as he steps confidently into electronic territory under the Heavenline moniker. After years rooted in heavier, aggressive genres, this EP feels like a reset button pressed with intention. Built from jungle breakbeats, Korg Minilogue synth patches, and thick layers of atmosphere, the project pulls deeply from childhood nostalgia, specifically the hazy magic of Nintendo 64 soundtracks, without ever slipping into gimmickry. Instead, it translates memory into mood, blending old-school energy with a forward-facing electronic pulse.
โSpiral 99โ opens the EP like a boot-up screen from another era. Immersive drones hum steadily in the background while organic percussion taps and rumbles in sync, in a looping, hypnotic motion. At just under a minute and a half, it works as a brief, atmospheric, and disorienting scene-setter, standing between sleep and waking.
Things really take shape on โSee.z64,โ the emotional core and standout moment of the release, with fast, crisp breakbeats pulsing beneath floating synth layers that shimmer with a distinctly 64-bit dream logic. The track stretches out just long enough to fully sink in, letting its jungle influences breathe while nostalgic ambience swirls overhead. It feels like wandering through a low-poly, comforting, and surreal landscape at night, which might as well hint at Jeremyโs new creative direction.
โNFOโ closes the EP on a more fractured note. Sharp, smacking beats cut through rising waves of sound before the track suddenly glitches into buzzing, electric chaos. Then, just as quickly, it snaps back into its earlier rhythm, tension intact. That push-and-pull gives the track a restless energy, hinting at the experimentation driving the whole project.
Heavenline captures an artist mid-transformationโcurious, unrestrained, and chasing wonder again. Itโs short, immersive, and quietly ambitious. Check it out on Spotify.
