Hunter Schafer, star of ‘Euphoria,’ directs Girl In Red’s ‘hornylovesickmess’ video. Schafer makes his directorial debut with this project.
The official video for ‘hornylovesickmess,’ directed by Euphoria star Hunter Schafer, has been out — see it below.
The song is from the critically praised debut album ‘If I Could Make It Go Quiet,’ which was released in April 2021.
With the song’s new accompanying visuals, Schafer, who plays Jules Vaughn in HBO’s blockbuster series Euphoria, makes her directing debut. Girl In Red – aka Marie Ulven – is seen laying on top of a car as it travels down a city street in the video.
Later, while flashing pictures are projected in from the windows, the musician is visible inside the vehicle. Ulven wanders through a destroyed street before ascending to the air and flying above the devastation. Various scenes of the singer spending time with her absent partner are also shown.
In a statement, Girl In Red said, “Being able to film a video with Hunter for the album’s anniversary was really fantastic.” “After the first time we hung out, we had so many ideas, and it was nice to be with somebody creative in that sense.”
In addition to the finished shots, Schafer has revealed a set of storyboard sketches for the visuals. “It’s my very first time directing!” “Thank you for believing in me: Marie & crew,” she captioned the photo.

Girl In Red was surprised last month when Billie Eilish presented her with a Spellemann award – a Norwegian Grammy – at Coachella 2022. “This is really strange!” Ulven explained. “Dude! This was unexpected.”
Due to vocal cord damage, Girl In Red had to postpone her European headline tour.
The second season of Euphoria ended earlier this year. In February, the program was revived for a third season.
