I Know You See Me by DJ (i)MG Beatz: Review

It’s a good day for hip-hop culture because the irresistible flow of DJ (i)MG Beatz and their track “I Know You See Me” has emerged. In the realm of momentum-boosting music, hip-hop has undoubtedly soared, and for that, you just need to hear the aforementioned track to believe my every word.

“I Know You See Me” is a true tribute to the rap genre. With fluid instrumental pieces, the song’s upbeat tension is unmatched. Powerful beats enter the atmosphere while all the artists let out their breathtaking ode. The rhythm structure has a bit of keyboard flair and a synth looped-in for a strong effect. Over this layer of melodies, the rap bars flow out like butter, headphones are strongly advised here! The distinct sound of this track pertains to old-school hip-hop numbers where everyone joins in on the action, as well as a modern instrumental hook. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that among the artist’s influences lay Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent. Both these giants had a significant role to play in my upbringing. I was an anxious teen back in the day, and thankfully the genres of Nu-Metal and Gangsta Rap were my safe haven. I’m aware the two are largely varied genres but the confidence I received from both was the path I chose.

With everything being said I thoroughly enjoyed the artistic contribution and comradery present in “I Know You See Me.” There was a balance instilled from each take where a different artist took initiative, and it was bliss to witness it all.
