Polish indie rock band The Riverose keeps their momentum rolling with โI Want To Stay,โ released on September 19, 2025, a sweeping, tender, and defiant Britpop-inspired anthem. Formed in 2024, the band has quickly carved a niche for itself, with the melodic warmth of classic British rock with touches of folk and blues. Produced at Two Zero Nine Studio in Liverpool and mastered by UK engineer Graeme Lynch, the single shines with the polish of a band ready for the international stage. Itโs a taste of their upcoming debut album, due in early 2026, and it captures The Riveroseโs signature mix of emotional storytelling and big, atmospheric sound.
โI Want To Stayโ opens quietly, built around strumming guitars that shimmer like light through rain. The female vocalist leads with a grainy, high voice, delicate yet determined, as she sings, โStorm by storm, I go on and on, climbing higherโฆโ With a sincerity, lived-in performance, she sings full of resilience. A male harmony slips beneath her tone, grounding it, before the steady, full-bodied, and alive drums roll in. Cymbals bustle and crash as the two voices rise together into the chorus, where the emotion swells into something anthemic. They sing, โYou bring light to my heart, you set fire to my soul, but I need to go now.โ Itโs that bittersweet collision of love and letting go, sung with conviction and cinematic sweep.
The second verse turns the spotlight to the male vocalist, whose husky, textured voice adds grit to the songโs emotional core. โYou gave me strength, made me new, I need to go, go now,โ he confesses.
The indie rock โI Want To Stayโ shows us that each farewell is another rebirth. So remember The Riverose when they rise higher.
