I’m Gonna Ruin Your Party by The Airstream Outlaws: Review
The Airstream Outlaws creates truly riveting music with country themes and a bluesy instrumental arrangement to tag along. Their track “I’m Gonna Ruin Your Party” is an upbeat tune that will definitely vibe with fans of bluegrass melodies, and country-folk tunes best fit for a road trip.
The pedal-steel guitar is such an underrated instrument in my opinion. Of course, there are other under-utilized devices existing in the music biz that deserves more action, but the pedal-steel guitar adds this whimsical aspect to a tune. I first heard its cadence from Pink Floyd’s track “High Hopes”, although I believe the lap-steel guitar might have been used instead of a pedal-steel one. Even so, the two have similarities in tone and sound! So, the pedal steel’s addition in “I’m Gonna Ruin Your Party” elated me. In addition to that, passionate vocal sections and rhythmic drumming kept things balanced. The overall theme and feel of the track are quite soothing. There are a few surprising bits here and there, such as the inclusion of trumpet fillers and the mysterious aspect of its songwriting.
Any country artist has a distinct vibe pertaining to their charm. I’m glad to have heard The Airstream Outlaws’ musical flow because the instrumental and vocal synergy was tough to back away from. I’d be a fool not to recommend the track to anyone, especially someone getting right into bluegrass and the rhythmic allure of country hymns.
