In the Glove by Jameson Tabor: Review
“In the Glove” is a thrilling electro-pop song by Los Angeles-based artist Jameson Tabor. The track is every bit Bruno Mars, as it is early Michael Jackson, arriving at a funktastic standstill with an extremely catchy singer at the mic, and a bass that freakin’ slaps.
Jameson’s voice is pure magic. He’s just on his game, and the pure essence of his vocal prowess translates extraordinarily with the disco-style rhythm section. Blending minimal guitars with a palm-muted technique, and a bass that comes out of nowhere to settle a groove, the song immediately caught my attention. I must confess, being pleasantly moved by this dance piece, pushed me to let out some classic moves of my own. It’s just so darn catchy, I mean who wouldn’t? The endearing aspect of this song is Jameson’s ability to stay connected to the tempo. That, and portraying an equally enticing vocal performance in synergy with each instrumental bit. The artist’s singing mechanism is a blend between fast wordplay, vibratos, harmonies, and retro-pop themes. It all culminates in a flavorful melody, that is indeed difficult to back away from!
I kept an open mind at all times hearing the track, not knowing what came on next. To my surprise, the bridge section struck a chord with me, and the melancholic transition was quite touching to hear. Fellas, this song is a rhythmic treat, and if I were in your shoes, I’d blast this track at high volume.
