Infant ft. Pulses by Michael Donoghue: Album Review

The auditory marvel of trance music is filled with electronic psychedelic tones. It is a facet of the music industry I have followed sincerely for many years, and has it been a trip thus far to experience! So, upon discovering the invigorating sound of Michael Donoghue along with Pulses, their album โInfantโ felt like a unique blend of synths and bass intensity that truly enamored me.
Linking the album with a distinct digital atmosphere almost reminiscent of classic cyberpunk music, it opens up with the stunning โRemembering Typhoon Thomson.โ Both artists are at their creative element. This is evident from the clean synthesizer pieces which incorporate treble-heavy keys, ambient patterns, and a light beat to give it a nice kick. The next track โConfirm Humanityโ was incredibly catchy. As a weighty bass slams just right, I canโt seem to back down from the mixโs sheer force and electronic vibrations. In addition to that a robotic vocal progression followed which was truly gripping. โEdenโ incorporates a darker tone, and manages to capture the essence of dystopia music perfectly. With a heavy bass drop and percussion segment, we get a glimpse of the albumโs moody portion.
With such a pleasant flow thus far, I wondered what was next from the album! So, โRealiserโ came in with a bang, the house-style synthesizers and tempo were truly reminiscent of an epic rave taking place. Ending the album with โDriftingโ felt like a true rebuild of the sounds from the 80s, and these are indeed full of nostalgia.
