IYOAB by Major Kami: Review
Futuristic melodies are always charming to hear. The vibe of electronica and synthwave is quite eloquently placed with IYOAB by Major Kami. The artist blends soothing piano bits with atmospheric synthesizers and robotic-style vocals for a wonderful musical twist!
The main instrumental hook of the song is this high-frequency synth note that keeps the energy intact. Aside from that, the vocal melodies are quite calming and pertain to a vintage pop aesthetic. There is certainly a vibrant essence to โIYOABโ, and it certainly keeps the audience hooked. Primarily the colorful melodies that fall under a more synth-driven EDM sequence are what takes the center stage. It had a wholesome theme to it, and the vocal lines captured the vibrations perfectly, especially the instrumental segments. The nature of electronic music in โIYOABโ by Major Kami follows its own rhythm and doesnโt necessarily incorporate heavy beat drops or bass-driven verses. Rather it has a rather funky drum pattern, almost industrial-like that gives the song a more experimental and alternative twist.
Hearing the singerโs tone elevated me, and also made me reminisce about the old days of Daft Punk. Itโs a shame that the dominant duo had to split, but their influence has been felt all around. โIYOABโ vocal lines just scream digital future, and itโs a remarkable feat on its own. Hearing the track made me appreciate the modernity of musical paradigms more, and if youโre one just like me, please donโt miss out on this tune!
