Julie Elias releases captivating new song ‘Forgive me’
The second single from Julie’s fifth album, ‘A Girl Like Me’, is titled ‘Forgive Me’. Obviously, the song is about forgiveness, but there is a twist. It’s about asking forgiveness, not about forgiving someone else. Every story has two sides, always. Sometimes you have to start the healing process yourself if you really want to mend a damaged relationship. Even if you didn’t mean to, you must acknowledge that you might have hurt the other person. Living in unforgiveness is a prison, but only for the one who refuses to forgive; forgiving others frees you. Our pride prevents us from moving forward in a mature manner and our stubbornness prevents us from thinking clearly.
In some cases, the first step is being humble and striking up a conversation. The song, which has an upbeat pop melody, fits in well in a variety of settings. You might hear it being played in a church youth group, a coffee shop, or on your local top 40 radio station. It has a deep message without being preachy or self-reflective and is pleasant and sincere. Top Nashville musicians joined forces to create this track, which helped bring Julie’s original song—the only writer—to life.
