Sehore’s debut album, LADENCIA, is a genre-blurring, delightfully chaotic mix of alt-rock, kitsch, and unexpected harmonies that keep your ears on edge. It refuses to be boxed in—one moment, you’re floating through dreamy guitar riffs, and the next, you’re hit with dissonant chords that jolt you awake. It plays with nostalgia without being tied to any specific era, making it both familiar and refreshingly unpredictable.
Take “MARIPOSA”, the album’s energetic opener, a shimmering, pulsating anthem for LGBTQ+ rights. The guitar riff sparkles over bustling drums, while the vocals soar with an undeniable charisma, making it impossible not to get swept up in the urgency of it all. Then there’s “SUPERSTAR”, a full-throttle explosion of chiming guitars, crashing cymbals, and infectious, punchy energy. The singer throws himself into the track with pure adrenaline, delivering every line with an almost reckless joy. It’s catchy, it’s fun, and it refuses to be ignored.
But Ladencia isn’t all high-energy anthems—it knows how to sink into moodier territory, too. “SAFARI” takes a grittier, more brooding turn, rejecting aporophobia with eerie, slow-burning guitars and a tense, simmering vocal performance. The groove smacks hard, the chords darken, and the track builds into something deeply atmospheric and affecting.
Sehore is Silver Medal Winner at the Global Music Awards 2025 for the song “Pesadilla.” and has crafted an album that thrives in contrast, polished yet imperfect, catchy yet unsettling, playful yet deeply serious. Listen to Ladencia on Spotify.
