Lola by Starchild Yeezo: Review
Southern California band Starchild Yeezo is a combination of modern dance music and R&B. Their eclectic music on the track “Lola” is just phenomenal, they truly take a stand with their innovative composition, and I had an absolute blast listening to it. Their music made me want to dance, I won’t lie, I’m not that great at dancing, but the right song will get me going, and “Lola” was it.
The guitar tracks in Lola are quite consistent, and connect well with every other instrument in the song. Starchild Yeezo’s music has a mix of electronica in it. It is quite interesting to hear, and the lead singer’s voice just hits all the right notes, especially when he says “Oh Lola!”, seriously what a way to go, guy! The song slows down a bit from its hyped-up verses nearing the end and it feels like taking a break from all the dancing. It’s quite intriguing when a band just adds an extra layer of salsa sauce to their musical treat, and Starchild Yeezo did an excellent job at it.
The band consists of Deezy who plays the resonating keyboards, Kam grooving on the drums, Juice plays the sensational bass, and Drew plays the funky guitar, but Starchild Yeezo is the lead singer, songwriter, and composer commanding his smooth voice on “Lola”. If you’re looking for fresh music to listen to, please don’t shy away from Starchild Yeezo, they’re pretty mind-blowing.
