Look Pretty by Sounds in Projects: Review

Are you entertained? Or are you simply moving through life without a soulful voice or melody to soothe your pain? Let me present you with a dose of EDM, that’ll allow you to inhale an atmosphere of charm and energy. “Look Pretty” by Sounds in Projects is what I would like to call “dance is in session”. It is a synthesizer, electro-bass, and drum pad-based track to uplift your senses. Today is a great day to feel alive ladies and gents, especially to the vibrations of Sounds in Projects.

Let me set the scene. A dose of beats that has a BPM level of “turn it up”, a careful mixture of synth and electronica, and a fresh voice that will make you wish for a paramour by your side. As romantic as the track goes, the vocalist infuses his expression and style in a similar way. The transitions in the track especially the parts without percussion have this rising electronic atmosphere. Once that cyberpunk electro sequence escalates and reaches its climax, it’s ready to join with the beats once more and compete with one another in a battle of melody.

The track goes from high to low tempos quite a bit, and each of them has a distinct sound. My favorite transition comes near the end with just less than a minute left. Because, overall the song starts off really catchy, but at the end, the vocal spreads reach a near-perfect pitch and melody. That, and the synth noises make that section even more of a vibe.
