Lute Releases Music Video For ‘Like Wine,’ A Lyrical Showcase, Dreamville Records’ ‘Gold Mouf (Deluxe Edition)’ is out now.
“Like Wine,” Lute’s latest great song, now gets a music video. 12VY directed the video that accompanied the song.
“S t, so f k who ain’t believin’ me/ Can never claim I’m wack, ’cause you rap n s never seein’ me,” Lute says, standing in front of a fleet of automobiles, including a cherry red BMW. “Like Wine” follows the release of Lute’s videos “Eye to Eye” and “Changes,” which were both released recently.
North Carolina MC Lute filled listeners’ demand for additional music with his deluxe version of Gold Mouf, which included “Luther’s Freestyle,” “Run It Back,” and the aforementioned “Like Wine,” following an enthralling debut marked by his riveting difficulties with anxiety and self-doubt.
The GRAMMY-nominated rapper’s new album is only one of several noteworthy occurrences in recent weeks. Lute’s set was complimented in a shoutout from Complex during the long-awaited return of the annual Dreamville Festival last month. He also collaborated on two tracks for the D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape, which debuted in the top five on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts.
With Gold Mouf Chronicles, Lute is more open about his anxiousness and the impact it has had on his family. He also discusses his experience with open-heart surgery, which placed his destiny in the hands of fate. Despite the fact that the treatment was successful, Lute’s experiences have left an indelible mark on his mind and body. Rather of succumbing to his worries, Lute bravely wears his flaws on his sleeves, honing his MC talents and strengthening his bonds with his followers.
Lute has spoken publicly about his former anxiety struggles in interviews with Complex and GQ. “I learned about anxiety from an infomercial one night,” he said in a chat with Complex in June 2021. “I couldn’t sleep, so I turned on the television… and you’re probably familiar with how infomercials work: ‘Do you have such and such?’ “Are you experiencing this?”
